Dominican legislation
permits the installation and operation
of gaming / casinos in those qualified
first-class tourist establishments.
Licenses for operating
gaming / casinos are issued by the President
of the Republic following prior approval
and recommendation from the Casinos Committee
specially instituted by law for this purpose.
The company or person
applying for a license to operate
a casino must show an adequate level of
moral and economic solvency.
The casino must be installed
preferably in a first-class hotel, according
to the classification made for that purpose
by the Secretariat of State for Tourism,
as per rules and regulations in force.
At the present time there
is an extraordinary opportunity for hotel
facilities to be built with casinos included.
