Italians Getting Quick Divorce in Dominican Republic

The Italians married in DR who have registered the marriage at their embassy shall register the divorce:

For transcribed a Dominican judgment of divorce before the Italian municipality of residence, the citizen / Italian / Embassy to appear in the following documents:

In case of divorce by Incompatibility of Character:

1) Request transcript, filled in all its parts;

2) Judgment original divorce, legalized by the Attorney General of la Republica and the Chancery, translated into Italian by a translator authorized by this embassy;
 
3) Act of divorce-in extensive issued by the State Civil legalized by the Central Electoral Board and the Foreign Ministry, translated into Italian by a translator authorized by this embassy;

4) Publication of divorce in a national newspaper, legalized by the Chancery, translated into Italian by a translator authorized by this embassy;

5) Only in the case of divorce by "Incompatibility of characters" a declaration of non-appeal, issued by the competent court in which it is indicated the exact date from when the divorce decree, the Dominican Act, is considered final and unappealable legalized by the Attorney General of the Republic and by the Chancery, translated into Italian by a translator authorized by this embassy;

6) A copy of the identity papers of those concerned;

7) photocopies of all original documents and those relating legalized translations.

In case of divorce by mutual consent:

1) Request transcript, filled in all its parts;

2) Judgment original divorce, legalized by the Attorney General of la Republica and the Chancery, translated into Italian by a translator authorized by this embassy;

3) Act of extensive in-divorce issued by the State Civil, legalized by the Central Electoral Board and the Foreign Ministry, translated into Italian by a translator authorized by this embassy;

4) Publication of divorce in a national newspaper, legalized by the Chancery, translated into Italian by a translator authorized by this embassy;

5) A copy of the identity papers of those concerned;

6) A photocopy of all original documents and those relating legalized translations.
